I look forward to hearing from you.
Each of these services are tailored to your specific needs - these are not checklists nor do we subscribe to a cookie-cutter approach. These descriptions are intended to convey the types of issues that might need to be addressed in your project in order to satisfy your objectives. You'll notice that there is very little discussion about the technology here because our services are focused on the client's needs.
Functionality: what functions does your site offer? Are there additional functions that could be valuable? Are there existing functions that don't seem to add value?
Usability: Does your site embody the principles and best ideas in usability? Does it meet your expectations for accessibility?
Navigation: Is it easy to navigate around your site or is it confusing?
Quality: Does your site conform to the language specification for implementing web pages? Surprisingly, most sites do not and often have many errors. While your site might appear OK in your browser today, future versions of browsers might not be robust to these types of idiosyncrasies. It is wise to fix these issues before they become problems.
Client-centered approach: We'll begin by making explicit your business objectives and desires for your site
Constraints: We'll identify your project's constraints — budget, schedule, must-have (and nice-to-have) features
Planning for change: We'll explore the degree of change you envision for your business and site over the next few years and the implications for managing change
Planning implementation: based on all of these factors and the rich set of available starting points, we'll consider some cost-effective alternatives to implementing your site
Creating the site: Based on the choices we've made, we'll collaborate on creating/refining the aesthetic aspects of the site and its contents
Business processes: What are the key processes in your business? Are they manual or automated (or a hybrid?) What aspects of these processes make sense to incorporate in your web site?
Customer interactions: Does your business have a lot of clients? Is your interaction with them complex? We might consider integrating customer relationship management functions into your site.
Marketing: Do you have a sound marketing plan? Is it integrated with your web site? Should it be?
Social networking: Are you reaching out to potential clients through the various social networking media? What are your clients saying about you? Should you be in the conversation?
Renovation: If we've done an evaluation of your site, you'll have a concise report that presents our recommends and this will serve as a planning document for the renovation project.
Management: We want you to love your web site and of course, that means different things to different people. If you want to have principal responsibility to maintain the content, we'll plan for that, make it as easy as possible, and show how to do it. If you want us to share more of the load, we are glad to do that. We will customize a support plan to meet your needs.
Hosting: This is a highly specialized service that benefits from scale, so we partner with leading hosting providers to ensure maximum availability and reliability for your site. While this would seem to be a commodity service, levels of support vary.
